Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Would Love To See As A Movie/TV Show (set in a perfect world...in which movies don't butcher the books we love.) -- originally done April 2011

6. The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks. Now that Hollywood has proven they can take Fantasy and do something with it, aka, Lord of the Rings, they might actually do something special with this series.
7. Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief, which I know has been made into a movie, but come on, that was a sad, sad movie for any fan of the book. it needs a redo.
8. The Witch Of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare. I loved this book when I was younger, and every couple of years I go back to it, and each time, I think, this would make a great a movie.
9. Born Of Illusion by Teri Brown. This book was interesting to me. I liked the elements of magic, and the mystery in this book. I actually think this would make a great movie.
10. And of course, The Haunting of Alaizbel Cray. This would make a great movie. Not only does it have creepy crawlies, but it has romance, action, and adventure. You can't ask for more. And according to his blog, he has written a screenplay for the movie. What more can a fan ask?

1. Goose Girl by Shannon Hale: I would love to see this at the movies. Galen is swoon worthy. I can't believe Austenland was made into a movie before Goose Girl.
2. The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen: My daughters would die if this book was made into a movie. It would be good as a miniseries too.
3. Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins: This would be such a fun movie. The sarcasm is great and the love triangle isn't to crazy.
4. Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson: What a great chick flick this would be, right? I love Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice and would love to see this come to the big screen.
5. Ruby Red by Kirsten Geir: I know they are making this into a movie but I hate reading subtitles.
