Top Ten Tuesday: Best Sequels Ever

brought to you by: the broke and the bookish

Jeni's Picks:
1. Sapphire Blue by Kirsten Gier: I loved Ruby Red and was so happy that Sapphire Blue didn't disappoint.

2. Demon Spell by Rachel Hawkins: Hex Hall is one of my favorite series.

3. Where She Went by Gayle Forman: I was a little nervous starting this book because I didn't want it to ruin the first book for me. It ended wonderfully and I'm so glad I read it.

4. The Runaway King by Jennifer A. Nielsen: The False Prince is one of my favorite middle grade reads. The second book was just as great and I can't wait to read the third book. March cannot come fast enough.

5. 2 Bodies for the Price of One by Stephanie Bond: I liked the first book in this series but I liked the second book better.  If you liked the Stephanie Plum novels you would like these.

Emily's Picks

6.Always A Witch by Carolyn MacCullough. I liked this series a lot, and it was even better when I found out there was only two books. This book was fun, and I liked the story line.

7. The Elfstones of Shannara. By Terry Brooks.  If you are fan of High Fantasy, I would highly recommend Terry Brooks, and I would highly recommend the second book in this series.

8. Awake At Dawn by CC Hunter. I like this series.  It's a fun read, and I have been waiting to finish the fifth book.  I would recommend this book to any YA reader out there who liked Hex Hall, Shiver or Kelley Armstrong's books.

9.  Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling. This is one of my favorite Harry Potter books.  I love to sit down with a nice cup of hot chocolate, a cookie and dig in to this book. I read it in the fall when the leaves are just turning, and then I read numbers, 5,6, and 7 over right after.

10. Desires of the Dead (the body finder #2) by Kimberly Derting. This series is another YA. I liked the creepy aspects.  A girl that can sense the dead.  And I really don't mind the love stories involved too much.  I would recommend this series as well.

  2. I think any of the Harry Potter books are worthy of a place on this list! My particular favourite was the Prisoner of Azkaban.

  3. Nice list! With the exception of HP, I've not read any of these yet. Adding things to my TBR!
