Top Ten Tuesday: Books I'm not sure I want to read for various reasons

brought to you by: the broke and the bookish

Jeni's Picks:
1. Cinder by Marissa Meyer : Too hyped up. I've read to many books lately that were raved about and ended up hating them. Maybe I'll pick it up when the series is finished.

2. Allegiant by Veronica Roth: A friend warned me not to read it and gave away part of the ending. I just don't see the point in finishing this series anymore.

3. Tigers Curse by Colleen Houck: I wanted to read this series forever but then someone mentioned the love triangle drags which made me loose interest fast.

4. The One by by Kiera Cass: Every time I pick up this book I put it back down saying I'll read it next. I'm not sure why I haven't finished this series.

5.  The whole Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rawlings : I watched the movies first and I think it ruined this series for me. I tried reading the first book and it just didn't hook me.

Emily's Picks

1. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas this book has been sitting on my shelf for a while now, and for whatever reason, I still haven't picked it up to read.  I think it might just gather dust.

2. Heaven is here by Stephanie Nielson. I started following Stephanie's blog about three years ago, I actually started following here sister, C. Jane, first.  I have wanted to read her book, but after following her blog, I am worried the book might be a little sappy, and preachy, and I have yet to pick it up, although I bought it.

3. Die For Me by Amy Plum I started this book, and will not finish it.  It was another twilight, just a slightly different take.  It was disappointing.

4. Ashes, Ashes by Jo Treggiari  I am tired of dystopia, let's just put it that way.

5. Plum, gratifying vegan dishes by Makini Howell I don't know if cookbooks count, but I'm counting it.  I am into cookbooks, and I like vegan and vegetarian recipes.  I was excited about this cookbook, and then it came.  HUGE disappointment.  I would never use this cookbook. YUCK.

  1. Omg, I am SUCH a Throne of Glass fan! I think, if you love epic fantasy, it'll hit all the right chords. It's really funny as well as clever, and book #2 is aaaamazing. Definitely the best. I do understand being worried about it. I totally plan to read Heir of Fire (book #3) but it's on my list this week because I'm such a fan of this series and I'm waaaay too emotionally involved. lol!
I also love Cinder, but again, I think books #2 and #3 are better.
Sucks that Allegiant got spoiled for you. My sister accidentally read a spoiler and she ended up not liking the book so much.
    Here's my TTT!
